Leads the strategic planning, external/public affairs, operations, fund develop-ment, and fiscal management of the organization.
Housing and Economic Development
CRCD develops permanent supportive housing for transition-age youth age 16-25, such as young people aging out of foster care, and other low-income residents. CRCD also assists small businesses on the historic jazz corridor of Central Avenue to promote economic growth and strengthen the Central Avenue Business Association.
Workforce & Youth Development
CRCD provides an expedited path to earn a high school diploma, dual enrollment at LA Trade Technical College, career-path training, intensive case management & support services to help young people age 17-25 reduce barriers to employment & build careers. Programs include South LA YouthBuild, Vernon-Central Workforce Development Network, CRCD Academy, Summer Youth Employment Program, & the CURE alternative sentencing program
Neighborhood and Community Beautification
As the City's largest contractor for beautification services in Vernon-Central, CRCD provides graffiti abatement, bulky item pick-up, alley clean-ups, Central Avenue maintenance, business corridor maintenance, and related community services. CRCD also operates a social enterprise, CRCD Enterprises, which was launched in 2010 as a job creation engine.
Supportive Services Department
CRCD Supportive Services coordinates the delivery of services to residents in our permanent supportive housing developments and the greater community.
